Title I Reading
K-3 Reading Intervention
Granville Elementary School currently has two full time reading intervention teachers providing services for students in kindergarten through third grade. Those students determined to be most at-risk in reading are considered and offered the opportunity to participate in a supplemental reading program along with historically underrepresented populations within the guidelines set for Title I funds usage. Students meet for small group instruction on a regular basis. Lessons are designed to support regular classroom instruction and emphasize the areas of phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension and fluency. Summer reading using Title I funds is also available for some students based on the selection criteria of reading data, demographics, and progress during the school year.
A significant amount of funding for Granville Elementary School's reading services come from Title 1 funding. In order to receive Title 1 funding, certain documents must be made available for the public to review. Please click the links below to view these documents.
