Free and Reduced Lunch Program
Free and Reduced Lunch Program
School meals are available to all students; however, they will not be free to all students. Households may apply for free or reduced-price meal benefits by completing the applications that are available below. Eligibility for free and reduced-price lunch is based on federal income guidelines or participation in other programs such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Ohio Works First. For additional information concerning the National School Lunch Program, please see the U.S. Department of Agriculture webpage.
Note: The "Meal Deal" is required to be purchased for free or reduced meals or to meet the standard price for paid meals. All individual items, Al a Carte, and additional entrees will have an additional fee. There are 5 components to a "meal deal": grain, meat or meat alternative, fruit, vegetable and milk. Students must take 3 of the 5 components to be considered a "meal" and 1 of the components must be a fruit or vegetable. At GMS/GHS, it does not matter which station a student goes to, as long as what they select meets this criteria.
